Your officers do the work. Each has ratings for command, warfare, administration and intrigue, a character, a loyalty that can fail, and stamina that work wears down. They develop farmland and trade, repair forts, train troops, gather news of the neighbours and lead your armies. When armies meet you can fight the battle yourself on a hex field, or leave it to your commanders. Your officers do the work.  The two editions have the same rules, screens and save files. The browser edition is a line-by-line port of the desktop's Free Pascal code to TypeScript, and the two are checked against each other: the same campaign played in both gives byte-identical saves. A campaign exported from the browser opens in the desktop edition, and the reverse. See [[brokenseal:saves|Saves]]. The two editions have the same rules, screens and save files.
